Deadline: 24 July 2026
What does home mean, and how do we write about it?
This year’s Writers’ HQ Writing as Resistance Festival explores the idea of home—both physical and metaphysical—and the many ways writers engage with it.
They’re seeking proposals for one-hour online generative creative writing workshops that explore themes including:
● Home and belonging
● Diaspora and migration
● Identity and culture
● The body and self
● Place, memory, and displacement
They particularly encourage submissions from writers from systemically marginalised communities.
Workshops will be delivered online during evenings (GMT) in September 2026, with recordings added to the Writers’ HQ workshop library for members to access afterwards.
Fee: £150 for a one-hour workshop.
To apply, email your workshop pitch to sarah@writershq.co.uk by 24 July 2026.
