Open call for Oxford Poetry Prize

Submissions remain open for the 2025 Oxford Poetry Prize, with just two weeks left before the deadline at midnight on Sunday, 31 August 2025.

The Prize is awarded annually by Oxford Poetry for a single, previously unpublished poem. It is open to poets writing in English anywhere in the world. This year’s judge is the acclaimed poet and essayist Rebecca Tamás.

  • First Prize: £1,000
  • Runner-up: £200
  • Second Runner-up: £100

All winning poems will also appear in Oxford Poetry in print.

The competition opened on 1 May and closes on 31 August 2025.
