Tokunbo, a recent movie from Ramsey Nouah features Gideon Okeke in the story of a struggling young man. Whose son was waxed with a heart disease. To break the ice, Tokunbo yearns to raise 9.5 million Naira for his son’s operation. However odds were against him.
The economic hardship in his country and being on the least of the food chain, forced him and his household to nibble on crumbles from the elites in his society. Though being relentless Tokunbo decided to stop his illegal border crossing of cars to focus on his taxi driving career.
Following numerous incidences and disappointment he attempts to borrow from Gaza, his previous boss from the illegal car importation business. A notorious street lord, responsible for causing havoc in the environment. But Gaza as a means to revenge on Tokunbo abandoning his smuggling vehicles into the country he declined.
Tokunbo in hope of life continued his Uber driving and suddenly found a phone in his car. Which he received a strange call, and started delivering pizza boxes to various locations. In one his deliveries, a client was slippery to expose the substance was sniffable.
In his next journey, it turns out to be he has been given a strange package to deliver in another country. This package became a national concern following the owner’s reputation in the country. And it eventually resulted to the death of Tokunbo’s son and many more issues…
